Programme Synopsis:
Our E. Mathematics tuition is based on the MOE syllabus and is specially designed with an examination focus. We have done extensive research into examination papers of various schools and the problem-solving techniques required to excel in the subject. Our programme is not only examination-focused, it also inspires students to think from different angles when it comes to solving certain challenging Mathematical problems.
The following MOE syllabus is what we base our tuition programme on:
Classes are highly interactive whereby students will be engaged by the teacher in discussions all the time. Students will be using specially printed worksheets with note/questions of varying degrees of difficulty as learning aids. The teacher will guide students through each topic with detailed explanations and the whiteboard will be used as a medium to illustrate concepts and methodologies and convey ideas. Class participation by students is essential in ensuring students keep in pace with what is being taught. The student's classwork will be monitored closely and homework assignments will be given to students in moderation to be prepared for subsequent lessons. Nearing examinations, the teacher will go through a period of 'drilling' whereby mock examination papers will be worked through in class with students under examination conditions. This serves to critically assess the student's understanding before they face the actual examination in school.
