Kingsdale Education (Reg: 52979496M) was established in 2002 by James and Gina, a husband and wife team. James holds a Master Degree in Law from NUS while Gina has a Master Degree in Education from Sheffield University and is an NIE-Trained school teacher. With a single passion to provide quality and affordable tuition to neighbourhood children, we have for the past fifteen over years offered our services at very affordable rates to ensure that even low income families can afford tuition for their children. We have also been working hand in hand with CDAC, Mendaki and Sinda for many years to help children from underprivileged families get the help they need in their studies. Our tutors are committed university graduate tutors with several years of teaching experience. Besides imparting knowledge, we believe in inculcating the right values in students to make them better people in society.
Parents often consult us about how their underachieving children can progress academically. When it comes to education, there often isn't an easy answer. Following the school curriculum is important, but the child's home environment plays an equally significant role in nurturing the child towards academic excellence. While all children are born with different abilities, every child is given an equal opportunity to excel in school. A gifted student may spend a shorter time grasping concepts compared to an average student, but at the end of the day, both students have an equal fighting chance to excel in the exam, taking the same papers and going through the exam under similar conditions.
The following are some of the key factors to success that parents/students have to take note:
1) Students must have sufficient amount of rest and take good care of their health to maintain a healthy mind for clear thinking. This may sound cliche but many students today are just not living the right kind of lifestyle to optimise their learning potential.
2) The home environment must be a conducive one for the child's learning and motivation primarily has to come from the people closest to the student.
3) Students must be exposed to the right learning tools in school and tuition serves to enforce what has been taught in school.
4) Students have to be extremely meticulous in their learning process, seeking to clear their doubts at an early stage and not wait till the eleventh hour. Constant communication between the students and his/her educators, and between parents and their children's educators is essential.
We are down to earth tutors who do not promise miracles, but you can be assured that with our extensive experience coupled with the right focus and attitude from your child, success is well within reach. Students who adhere very closely to what we teach in our programmes will find themselves an edge above their peers in school and this is a proven fact from the results of our students. We always advise students to start early in their exam preparation so as to give themselves ample time to revise.
